Not So Smart

Max was definitely regretting his poor, unruly decisions now, considering his precarious predicament. This was the fourth job he was working his scam on, and until this point, everything had worked perfectly. The setup was simple…find an accounting firm looking for some young, eager hotshots, spend a couple months establishing trust, then swoop in and steal their most lucrative accounts for himself. Was it risky? Hell, yes, and that’s what Max liked most about it. Not that the idea of landing high-end clients that yielded immediate profits didn’t excite him, but the thrill of the scam was an adrenaline rush he’d never experienced before. Unfortunately, the new rush pulsing through his veins were from fear thanks to his ignorance and greed.

As he sat on his boss’ couch blindfolded with his hands tied behind his back, Max ran through the events of the evening. He was just putting the finishing touches on stealing his boss, Roger’s high-profile account when his computer froze up. Next thing he knew, Roger entered flanked by two burly security guards. Next thing Max knew, he was being escorted to the elevator.

“Do you think I’m an idiot, Max,” Roger asked rhetorically. “I monitor all my new hires for six months before trusting them with my accounts. The dummy account you just tried stealing exposed you like a snake in the grass. And I hate snakes.”

As Max contemplated how he would avoid jail time, the elevator door opened, revealing the basement.

“Wait a minute. Where are you taking me,” Max asked.

“I’m going to ensure you never try something like this again,” Roger said as the security guard grabbed Max under the arms and dragged him down the dark hallway.

Max called for help as the guard dragged him into a nearly empty room. They pushed Max down onto the couch, holding his arms behind him. Next thing he saw was Roger securing rope around his wrists.

“Look, whatever you’re doing, it’s highly illegal and…mmmpphh.” Max’s plea became indistinct as Roger gagged him with a bandana.

“Hypocrite,” Roger replied. “Finish the job, boys.”

Max struggled against his captors, but the guards were far too strong for him. Before long, his arms were tied to his side, feet tied together. Roger’s lips widened into an eerie smile that make Max shiver.

“Leave us,” Roger said. And just like that, the guards were gone. Now, all Max could do was sit there helplessly as Roger decided what to do with him. Max struggled against the ropes, but all it did was make them tighter.

“Don’t bother. I pay those guys to do their jobs right, unlike you,” Roger said as he approached Max and sat beside him. Roger patted him on the head, smiling.

“Mmmpphhh…mmmmpphhh.” Max knew it was useless, but he had to try something. Roger, incense by his incoherent please, pressed his hand against the gag. Max’s tried to wriggle away, but it was no good.

“I’m only going to say this once. I could have called the cops and sent you to prison, but I didn’t. To be honest, I really liked you. You were the most ambitious, most charismatic, and cutest of my new hires. I had high hopes for you. It’s a shame that it’s come to this.”

Max watched as Roger slowly ran his hand down Max’s chest. Suddenly, it became crystal clear what was going to happen.

“MMMMPPPHHHH!!” Max shouted as he struggled to get away from Roger. Roger laughed at Max’s futile attempts, turning him over and spanking him.

“The more you fight, the worse it’ll be.”

Max struggled with every bit of strength he had until he was completely exhausted. Sweating, panting, and still bound and gagged, Max finally gave in to his predicament.

“Are you done,” Roger asked. Max nodded in compliance. “Good, because now the fun is really going to begin.” Roger ran his hand down to Max’s crotch, reaching for the zipper.

“Now, you stole something from me, and I’m going to steal a little something from you…just to even the score. After that, you’re free to go.”

Max shook his head in objection. “Oh, if you don’t want to watch, I can help you out with that.” With that, Roger pulled a black bandana from his pocket and secured it around Max’s eyes.

“There. This will make it easier to handle,” Roger said. “See how fair I am.”

Max sat there cursing himself silently for being such and pompous idiot. As he heard and felt his zipper being pulled down, he bit his lip under the gagged and vowed never to cheat anyone ever again.
