Welcome By Gilroy

He won' t look at me at first. Not directly. Not at first. I know what must be going through his mind right now: the disbelief, the anger at getting caught, the confusion at why I haven't simply called the police yet. I love this part, where they are still in denial, where they think they can get away, where the worst they have to worry about is show soon they can get bailed out of jail.

I almost don't have the heart to shatter his illusions. The way he shattered my window when he thought I had gone out. All the expensive stuff of mine he thought he was going to get away with. Doesn't he know thou shalt not steal? Didn't he see me watching him as he was casing my place?

Well, he didn't see me when he slid through the window, not until I had him in a head lock. For a little guy, he was pretty strong. Not strong enough to get free but still wiry. Not that it mattered. They teach you how to handle people in the Marines. Though the knots I learned from the Navy guys.

I hustle him inside and have him in a neat little bundle in no time. Wiry and strong don't matter if your ass is tied up. Strangely he never makes a sound but I gag him with layers of duct tape around his head anyway. He doesn't need to speak for what I need him for. And I like gags.

"Go on.' I tell him, "Try to get loose." he doesn't believe me at first. "You ain't going to escape tied up and gagged like you are. I won't stop you if you get out in the next fifteen minutes. So go ahead."

Figuring that he probably has nothing to lose, he does try to get loose. He tries to act like he's not struggling at all, at first. Moving his wrists back and forth behind his back just a little to test the ropes. He ain't fooling me. I can see his shoulders moving ever so slightly. But I don't do anything to stop him, just like I said I wouldn't. But soon he is going full steam, trying to get loose. He's twisting his arms around to see the knots, and flexing his muscles and grunting up a storm. God, how I love the grunting through a gag. You can take away a person's freedom of movement but it's not until you take away their freedom of speech that they are really helpless.

"Mmmmffph!" He moans in a demanding tone. I can't be sure what exactly he's demanding but I don't really care. His frustration and anger is almost ... cute.

He's on the floor now, still twisting and rolling away, putting on such a good show. I hate to interrupt it but I do anyway. Just so I can secure his hands a little more around his waist with a little more rope. He doesn't like it. But his fifteen minutes was up twenty minutes ago. Fair is fair, after all.

He continues twisting and struggling against the ropes, still deluded enough to think he's going to get untied all by himself. But the fantasy isn't holding up too well. I'm beginning to see worry in his eyes, fear. He's realizing that he isn't going to get free. That he's bound and gagged in some madman's house, and no one knows where he is or can help him.

Good. It only took about an hour for this to begin the first part of his "training".

"Giving up yet? Might as well. Those knots aren't going to come loose. So now I'm going to let you rest. Then you and I are going to play some more and you had better make me really happy. Because guess what? Even I let you go right now, what are you going to do? Go to the police and complain some guy tied you up while you were robbing his house? And that's assuming I let you go."

I can see the reality sinking in his eyes as I hog tie him. I then leave my room and go make myself a little snack. I'm sure by the time I'm done, my little thief will see things my way.

My friends always tell me I need to move out of my neighborhood with all it's crime. I just keep telling them that the crime isn't a problem as long as you know how to handle people. You just have to make them feel...welcome.
