If it wasn’t one thing, it was another. All young Frat Boy Carstairs had been thinking about was the fun party the Omega’s were throwing tonight as he hurried to get dressed. Then he got a phone call from his friend Murphy. There was some kind of problem and Murphy wanted to meet him early at the party house and he was supposed to use the back door. Carstairs couldn’t let a fraternity brother down so he hurried over to the house. It wasn’t until he was coming in through the back door of the party house that he began to think that Murphy’s voice on the phone had sounded a little strange.
All of a sudden Carstairs heard a footstep behind him and he started to turn around. “Murph…? Is that you?”
Something that felt like a sock full of sand exploded against Carstairs’ neck just below his ear and the next thing he knew there were bright colored lights flashing in front of his eyes and the floor was rushing up to meet him just before everything went black.
Some time later Carstairs opened his eyes and immediately closed them again because there was a throbbing pain coming from the side of his neck. Then he began to feel other things, starting with the ropes that seemed to be everywhere. His hands were tied behind him, his ankles were tied together in front of him, and there were more ropes biting into his arms and his neck.
“What the hell’s going on here!” he yelled, but no words escaped from his mouth because now he could feel more than see the heavy duty strips of colored tape that had been used to weld his lips together so that he could only breathe through his nose.
Fear began to work its way outward from the pit of Carstairs’ stomach to his thighs and his chest as he realized that he was really trapped and, more than that, this wasn’t some kind of prank. Whoever hit him and tied him up had been serious. And before long, they would be coming back!
Fear became panic as Carstairs strained at the ropes and rolled around on the floor trying to find some way to get free. But the strong ropes wouldn’t let him go. They just kept biting deeper and deeper into Carstairs tender skin until he had little tears welling up in the corners of his eyes. And then he heard footsteps.
Carstairs looked up from the floor and saw Randy and Quirk towering over him. They belonged to a different fraternity and Carstairs didn’t know them very well, but he held out his arms to them and begged behind his tape-welded lips for them to untie him.
Randy and Quirk laughed at him. “Carstairs you’re just as dumb as you’re gullible,” Quirk made a face to show what an idiot like Carstairs looked like.
“Yea man, don’t you know that we know that it was you and that Murphy and his buddy Angelo who tagged the Delta Phi House last week?”
“Yea and getting that paint off the walls and out of the rugs was a real bitch for our pledges!” Quirk whined.
“Well we already got Murphy stashed in a room upstairs and now we got you.”
“And as soon as your buddy Angelo shows up,” Quirk laughed, “We’re all going to a much different party.”
“You bastards better let me go!” Carstairs thrashed about and screamed into the tape like an angry cat.
“Oh my, you’re really brave with all your clothes on,” Randy teased. “But once we peel your clothes off, I don’t think you’re going to be so tough!”
“Yea,” Quirk sneered. “We got all kinds of fun games planned for you. Games like Who’s Touching Me Now?”
“And Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow,” Randy laughed.
“Don’t forget Bobbing for Hot Dogs. That’s the one I’m really looking forward to.” Quirk grabbed a handful of his big crotch to show Carstairs the kind of hot dogs he was taking about.
Carstairs felt sick. In all of his eighteen years he had never heard of guys doing anything like that together. Then Randy made it even worse by petting Carstairs’ soft hair like he was a dumb puppy and pushing him back down on the floor.
“Now we want you to lie real quiet here. Don’t even think of spoiling Angelo’s surprise for him.”
Then Randy and Quirk walked off and left the bound and gagged Carstairs lying on the floor. And then he heard them say as they were walking away—
“Are you sure that rag-stuff you made is going to work?”
“Sure, I tried it on myself last night. Just a few drops on a handkerchief and you go out like a light.”
And then Carstairs heard a door open and footsteps coming toward him.
“Hey Carstairs, you in here?”
It was Angelo! Carstairs began to feel sick. First of all because there was no way he could warn his friend about the trap that had been set. And secondly, there didn’t seem to be any way to escape from going to a very different kind of party tonight.
