"All right, Martinez. This is your big break. Don't screw it up!" Mr. Burns scowled as he put on his coat to go outside.
"You can count on me, sir!" Ramone Martinez said as helped his boss out the door.
This was great! After working at this stupid paralegal job for months and taking his Mr. Burns' constant abuse, Ramone was finally being left alone at the office. All he had to do was make sure that all the records got filed away and the money from clients got taken tot the bank on time. Mr. Burns had promised if Ramone proved he could do these "simple" things while Mr. Burns was out of town, Ramone would finally get a raise.
The first day was fairly easy. Ramone spent of his time organizing the files and he got the checks from clients deposited before the bank closed. Soon it was 7 o'clock. Time to go home and go to bed. There were still a great many files left to put away Unfortunately the masked men had other plans.
"What the.." Ramone stuttered as he grabbed. The men ordered him to go down on his knees. One held him while the other began ransacking the office files.
"I can't find it in this pig sty!" He said to his partner.
The man covering Ramone jerked Ramone's tie roughly, " Where's the Berman file?"
"I don't know. I think my boss took it with him!"
'Should we?!" The second man asked the first.
"Nah. Here, keep him out of the way with this. He might 'remember' something, if he knows what's good for him!" The first man tossed his partner a roll of gray duct tape.
Ramone's hands were taped tightly behind his back. Then more tape was wound around his feet and arms. It was all Ramone could do to keep his balance.
"Sure you don't want to tell us where the file is?" The second XXXXman asked, waving his XXXX menacingly.
"Even if I did know, which I don't, I wouldn't tell you. You'll never get away with Mmmphh!!" Ramone's bravado was cut short by the XXXXman's hand clamped over his mouth.
"Yeah, right. You got a big mouth. Lucky for you we don't want to give the police extra incentive by killing you. If we can help it." The man then stuck a strip of duct tape over Ramone's mouth and smoothed it over his face until it formed an effective gag. "There, now you can tell us how 'we're not going to get away with this' all you want and you won't bother anyone! Hahaha!" The man pushed Ramone so he lost his balance. With a painful thump, Ramone landed on his ass on the floor.
The two men then continued searching the office, going from the file cabinet tot he stacks of files that lay on the desk. Mr. Burns, being old fashioned, never kept any of his cases on the computer. But it would only be a matter of time before they found the Berman file, sabotaging the case Mr. Burns was making. Losing the Berman case would not only mean some very nasty people would get away with being slum lords, but it would ruin the business. And even worse, Ramone would lose his job!
Vainly Ramone struggled to get loose. But the tape he was tied up with was impossible to get out of. There were no knots to undo and no slack to work with. Ramone was was reduced to wiggling and grunting on the floor.
Of course, even if Ramone managed to get free, he couldn't do much against a XXXX. But he may be able to make a break for it.
Not that it mattered what he might do if the tape continued to hold him!
"I found it!", Ramone heard and his heart dropped. He could only look up and glare as one of the XXXXmen walked up to him
"We'll be leaving you now. Thanks for all your help!"
"Mmmm-mmphha mmmppphhrr!" Ramone grunted furiously through the tape gag but the men were gone.
The night went slowly as Ramone rolled around on the floor. He had given up getting free long ago but he couldn't even XXXX. HE couldn't find a comfortable position to lay while he was tied up like he was.
Morning came and Ramone despaired of ever getting free. Mr. Burns wouldn't be back for another day. Ramone shuddered to think of being bound and gagged for two entire days!
Suddenly in walked Mr. Burns! "What the hell?" he exclaimed seeing the mess. He then looked down on the ground and noticed his paralegal, bound and gagged on the floor.
"Mmmm?!" Ramone moaned pathetically.
None too gently, Mr. Burns peeled off the tape that had cemented to Ramone's face.
'Yeee-aaaahhhh...Robbers! They stole the Berman file! Left me tied up!"
No they didn't," Mr. Burns said. "You mixed the Berman file with the Garman file. That's why I came back. To get the correct file. I never understand how you keep mixing up B and G."
"You mean.."
"Yes. "Mr. Burns explained as he replaced the tape over Ramone's mouth, "Your incompetence has actually saved us. So I won't fire you. Of course, I will have to take the damages out of your pay. And I think I'll just leave you here where a while longer so you don't cause any more trouble."
"MMMMM!" was all Ramone could say.
