Ben and Todd were recreational XXXX users, but not dealers. Ben, especially, was always on the lookout for some good blow, even though it sometimes took him far from the gentle neighborhood where the young men lived. Stating that he planned to clean the joint up, Todd had willingly emptied both his wallet and his pockets and antied up his car keys that Saturday morning so Ben could go make a score for the both of them.

True to his word, as soon as Ben left, Todd got out the floor sweeper and threw all the windows open. After a while, he decided the autumn breezes were uncomfortably cool, but the joint DID need airing out . . . so he shrugged into a warm vest and resumed his chores.

Todd decided he'd get the living room and the kitchen, and it was Ben's turn for the bathroom. At least, Todd thought it was, but he wasn't too sure.

Todd heard the door opening and without looking up, said, "Yo, bro. What'd you get?"

"Uh, Todd," said Ben, in a way that made Todd look up.

Behind and slightly to the side of Ben was a man wearing grease-stained jeans, engineer's boots, and a muscle tee. The man's arms and what Ben could see of the man's chest were covered in tattoos.

"What's up?" asked Todd.

Then Ben stepped aside, At the same time, the stranger gave Ben a push with a hand in the middle of his back that sent Ben sprawling artlessly on the floor.

"Oh, fuck," said Todd. "Wait a minute. What the shit's going down here."

"Shut your trap," ordered the man. He was looking around the house,

Todd saw the man's narrowed pupils, and he felt the hairs on the back of his neck spring erect. Slowly, he raised his hands.

"That's right," said the man. "You," he pointed at Todd, "on the couch." He turned to Ben, who was still on the floor. "And you run fetch that clothesline I see in your back yard. Pull any shit, and it's your friend's funeral."

"Uh, yes," said Ben, and he scrabbled on his elbows and knees for the door.

"What is it you want?" asked Todd. He saw the stranger watching Ben through the back door.

"I want the rest of your roll," said the man. "I saw what your buddy was flashing, and with that kind of dough, I knew there'd either be more of it, or I'd find some really good stash here."

"We don't have anything here," said Ben. "Todd had all our money, He was supposed to go score for us this morning."

Todd appeared. In his haste, he had ripped down all three clothesline segments and returned with them, clothespins and all. With his eyes wide, he dropped them at the strangers feet.

"You, too," the man said, "on the couch."

Todd nervously took his place beside Ben. Both men watched as the tattooed guy knelt to slice the clothesline into manageable pieces.

"What you gonna do to us?" asked Ben.

"Gonna tie you up, and maybe gonna beat the shit outta you if you don't tell me where your stash and cash are right now!"

"Crap, man. I already told you. We ain't got no stash, and Todd had all the dough we could scrounge up."

"For your sake," said the man, "that better not be so." He pointed the XXXX at Todd. "Stand up," he ordered, "and put your hands behind your back."

Minutes later, Todd and Ben were bound at wrists and ankles. Ben sat on the edge of the couch, with fight or flight resounding within him with the adrenaline that thrummed in his veins. It was a totally helpless feeling, and it peaked when the stranger pulled an old sock between Ben's teeth and used the last of a roll of duct tape to gag Todd. Then the man left the room.

Todd, to Ben's amazement, then came to his feet and hopped over to the door. Ben heard the tattooed man rummaging around in the kitchen, and he hopped over to his roommate. Ben then shook his head. Count on Todd to be anal retentive, he thought. Todd had secured the safety chain before dumping the clothesline on the floor.

Then Todd had an idea. He turned his back to Ben and touched the other man's bound hands, asking, imploring his assistance, but Ben's vest was pulled down over his bound wrists, and there was little that the other man could do.

"Ya'll ain't got shit in the fridge," called the man from the kitchen. Then he returned and found the two men at the door. He was instantly annoyed. "Okay," he said. "You two dumb shits get down on the floor right this instant. I'm gonna turn this place upside down, and I ain't gonna have you wandering around while I do it!"

He then roped Ben and Todd together, back-to-back.

Ben and Todd then watched as the man carted out their possessions. Then they heard the sound of Ben's car start up. As the sound of the motor dwindled in the distance, Todd heard Ben say something. It was muffled by the sock gag, but it sounded a lot like, "This is all your fault, you dumbass."

   This was going to be good, Chad thought to himself. For weeks he hadn’t been able ot hook up in his po dunk town. That had been weeks he hadn’t been able ot get tied up. But today it occurred to him, he could tie himself up. Sure, he wouldn't’ be able to get off very easily but that was part of the fun.
He had never actually tried self bondage before. But the concept seemed pretty simple. First he tied the rope around his ankles, binding his legs. Next came the gag. A strip of strong duct tape was plastered over his mouth, sealing it. Chad’s dick went hard. The gag was always his favourite part. Finally Chad had to tie his hands. That was the hard part. Carefully he made a hand cuff out of the rope and slipped it over his hands. He had to twist his fingers to tighten it until it felt comfortably tight and then fix the knot. Wiggling his wrists, Chad felt suitably restrained. He was certain he could reach the knot and free himself when he had too but it would take some effort and that’s exactly what Chad wanted.

   Gus let his hand rest lightly on his belt.   He didn’t think that he would even need to draw it, but you could never be sure with these punk gangbangers. There had been so many complaints from the new homeowners in this neighbourhood. They were buying up and refurbishing these old houses, and weren’t too happy when the punks broke in and started stealing both the old and valuable fixtures and leaded glass, as well as the new appliances that were going in. Gus had just seen a figure in a hoodie slip into this house – he was going to catch the little prick red-handed. Maybe that would get these rich assholes off the backs of the police. What did they expect? They were moving into a poor neighbourhood, gentrifying and kicking out the old inhabitants – there was bound to be trouble. But the law was the law – Gus wasn’t going to have a bunch of punks doing what they pleased on his beat.
  Gus pushed at the front door – it slowly swung open. Hmm, this wasn’t a good sign. He tightened the grip on his XXXX. Maybe he should have called for back up. Naw, he wasn’t a raw rookie, he would be OK.
"This is the police. You are on….UGGGGGHHHH!"
Gus fell to the floor stunned. Something heavy and hard had slammed down on the back of his neck. He lay on the floor, temporarily unable to move. He grunted as someone kicked him in the ribs.
"Well, what have we got here? A nosy cop, I see. I guess this isn’t your day, copper."
"UNNNHHHHHH!"
  Gus could only moan as his unknown assailant grabbed his belt and started dragging him across the filthy floor of the house. His right arm was totally without feeling – he tried to grab out with his left arm, but it was useless. He was being heaved about as if he was a sack of potatoes. He was pulled upright and his head slammed into something solid. Blackness descended as he slid to the floor, unconscious.
"UNNNGGGHNNOOOO!"
Gus shook his head. Whoever had been slapping his face had stopped. He tried to focus his eyes. For the moment, all that he could see was dusty floor, with a trail through the dust, as if something large and heavy had been dragged through the filth. It took him a moment to realize that he had been the object. He was on his knees, his legs in a very uncomfortable position beneath him. His hands were behind his back, something cold and metallic holding him in place against some sort of pole. Something nasty and sticky was covering his mouth.
  "How does our neighbour beat cop, feel? A helluva lot better than you’ll be feeling in a few minutes. I can assure you of that. "
"HMMMPH! GGMMWHOMMTHEHELLMMMU!"
"Me? You want to know who little innocent old me is? I’m the neighbourhood XXXX maker, you dumb cluck. And you’ve stumbled into my lab. It is might inconvenient – I wasn’t planning on moving for weeks. You’ve really screwed up my plans, copper. Lucky that I’ve just finished brewing a batch."
"MMMUBASHTARD! GGMMMGONNAMMROTINGGJAIL…UGGMGLUMP!"
  Greg’s gagged tirade was cut short.
"Jail? I don’t think so, copper. Who’s going to put me in jail? Not you, that’s for sure. Now, I could just blow your head off right now, but the sight of blood makes me fail faint. And it would be sooooo messy. No, I’ve got something much better in store for you."
Greg snarled through his gag and struggled against his cuffs, which were far too tight. They were already starting to cut off his circulation. If he could just reach his keys…
  "No, no, copper. You aren’t going anywhere. How stupid do you think I am? Do you think that I would leave the key to your cuff in easy reach? Here it is, and….here it goes."
Greg heard a tiny clink as his captor tossed the key into the rubble of the half-renovated house. Damn, this wasn’t good. What did this guy mean – what better thing did he have in store for him? Having his head blown off wouldn’t be a good thing, but…what could be worse then that? No head meant dead. Greg could feel sweat trickling down his rib cage. He didn’t have a good feeling about the situation that he was in. He didn’t have long to wait to find how dire his dilemma was.
" I was planning on using this when I left this dump – there is nothing like a nice explosion and fire to cover one’s tracks. You’re just forcing me to use it prematurely. Just let me pack up my things and then I’ll set it up. Don’t worry, you won’t have long to wait."
  "GGGMMMNNNOOOO! MUUCANTMMDOTHISM!"
Greg tried to lash out with his legs, which he had managed to straighten. He just missed his captor’s shins.
"You’re going to wish that you hadn’t done that, copper. Of course, you’re going to be blasted into bits in a very short period of time, but…you’ve just given an excuse to do this!"
"AAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHH!"   Greg screamed in pain as the villain leaned over and grasped Greg’s groin with an incredibly strong hand. It felt as if a steel claw was crushing his nuts. Greg almost passed out with the pain. He could only watch through a blurry haze as his ankles and knees were taped up.
"There, no more kicking from the cop. Not that you have much more time to kick anyone. Let me see – half an hour should give me plenty of time to pack up and get out of here. It’s been nice knowing you officer – parting is such sweet sorrow and all of that crap, but I’ve got to get out of here, and you – why, bits of you should be scattered all over the neighbourhood in 30 minutes."
  Greg struggled to his feet. He throw himself forward, hoping that the support to which he was cuffed would break. No such luck. When they built these big old houses, they built them to last. The wood didn’t even creak. OK, time to move on to plan two. He had an extra key to his cuffs hidden about his person – you never knew when an extra key would come in handy. He had been in such a rush this morning that he hadn’t had time to put it in its usual hiding place, but he knew that he had it. He had stuffed it into his pocket – he hoped that it hadn’t fallen out when he was dragged across the floor.
  Darn, this wasn’t as easy as he had thought it would be. Greg strained his muscles, trying to get his rapidly numbing fingers into his pocket. He could just reach the inside of the pocket, but of course the key was at the bottom. Gingerly, he started pulling up the lining of the pocket with the tips of his fingers. He had to be careful; he didn’t want the key falling to the floor – if that happened he would be in really big trouble. Hmm, that was a dirty tissue – no good. Some change – no good. Ah, that felt like the key. Now if he could just get it out…Greg gave a sob of frustration as the key slipped back into his pocket. His fingers were getting both sweaty and numb. He wasn’t sure how much time had passed, but he knew that he didn’t have long to free himself.
AHA! He had it! Now all he had to do was unlock the cuffs. He had had training in doing this very thing in the academy, but never with his hands almost completely numb, and never when cuffed to a pole! Oh yes, he almost had it. He was so close to freeing himself…he heard a tiny click and one cuff fell open.
  Greg tore frantically at the tape around his knees. His knife had disappeared from his duty belt; he had to use his bare hands to free himself. Damn, but this stuff was sticky and tough. He tore at it freeing first his knees and then his ankles. He started racing for the front door, not bothering to remove his gag. He was in no mood for chatting at the moment, and he had the horrible feeling that he didn’t have a moment to waste. He yanked the door open and stumbled onto the front steps. He heard a boom and then a whoosh as the force of the explosion blew him off the steps and into the shrubbery. Ha – the criminal had been foiled! Greg wasn’t in tiny little bits and he wasn’t going to rest until he had nailed the guy and made sure he spent the rest of his days rotting in jail.     Greg played by Chris

My Pesky Step Brother by Ivor Ciccone

  My step brother Kurt was a real nightmare to live with.
Noisy, messy, always in my hair.
He dropped out of school early, preferring to get a job doing constuction work.
Last year, I was cramming for exams and if there ever was a time I needed him out of the house it was then.
When I learned that he would be off work, between contracts, at the same time that I needed some space to revise, I tried all kinds of things to get him out of the house, cinema tickets, you name it, all I got was...
"This is as much my fuckin' house as it is yours, why should I go out?"
Or, after asking him to turn his music down a little...
"Go to the library, bookworm, or get a fuckin' life!"
The final straw came when he intruded into my room while I was working. He was playing air guitar and managed to XXXX my computer off my desk, yanking it out of the wall and losing all of my unsaved work.
I went crazy, but this test was really important to me.
"I'm gonna finish this work if it's the last thing I do!", I growled at him.
I grabbed some rope I had lying around and XXXX his hands behind his back. I had his wrists bound tight in seconds.
A wave of calm and relief washed over me!
"If this is what it takes to get my work done, bro....".
I pushed the dude into the living room and down onto a chair.
"You better get me outta this NOW!"   "Not very likely .......rockstar! You just cost me two days fuckin' work. You're staying right here AND YOU'RE GONNA BE QUIET!!!!!"
And I took the bandana off my head, twirled it, tied a knot in it and, with the knot between his teeth, gagged him with it, tying it tightly at the back of his head.
"GGGGGGRRRRRRRMMMMMPPPPPFFFFF!"
I grabbed all the rope we had in the house and got to work immobalising the jerk my dad had blessed me with when he remarried.
Forcing his kicking legs together I tightly bound them just above the ankles and just above the knees. He didn't submit very easily and put up quite a fight, but at 5ft 7in he's much smaller than me and knew I could overpower him. Then I took a long length of rope which I used to fasten his upper arms to his torso.
When I was all finished I stood back and surveyed my handiwork.
I breathed a sigh of relief.
"Ah, peace at last!"
I lit a cigarette and looked at Kurt, smiling.
"This is the quietest you've been in awhile, bro," I said, teasing him.
I walked towards him and stopped to look down into his eyes which seemed to be pleading with me.
"Those puppy dog eyes won't work with me, kid, I know you too well", I said and blew smoke in his face.
Kurt snarled at me.
"Ok, I've got some work to finish, shouldn't be more than, ooh, six or seven hours graft, I reckon."
But, as I walked out of the door towards the stairs, the dude rose to his bound feet, jumping after me, begging through the gag to be freed!"
Inevitably he lost his balance and hit the deck.
"Oh, we'll have to fix that immediately", I said looking down at him smiling.
And taking my last piece of rope I hogtied the dude!
"Now I'll get some, FUCKIN' work done!"
Kurt struggled like crazy, pulling at the ropes and screaming as loud as the gag permitted, but he was going nowhere and the screams were stifled!
 "You shoulda gone out, bro, like I said. Or you shoulda gotten yourself an education, then you wouldn't be so stupid!"
Laughing my head off, I walked out the room to the beautiful sound of Kurt's muffled madness, restrained anger.
I would've loved to have stayed there all day watching him, but I did have work to do.
Didn't stop me getting my rocks off a couple of times that day though!

               “What’s the matter Andy?” Vic laughed at him.  “You told me that you've been tied up lots of times.”
            Andy groaned a little into the roll of bandanna that was already starting to get soggy inside of his mouth and shrugged his shoulders a little in the hope of getting the tight ropes away from his hard nipples.
            “Me and my big mouth!” Andy cursed silently behind the gag.  Why did he tell Vic that he kind of liked being tied up?  He really didn't know Vic.  He had only met him tonight at the coffee shop.  But there was something about Vic’s persuasive charm and the loneliness that Andy had felt ever since he left home to start college that had made Andy eager to tell Vic all kinds of things that he didn't normally tell to strangers.
            If only Vic hadn't been so nice and so clever when he invited Andy back to his place?  And if only Andy hadn't been so brave when Vic challenged him a friendly way to prove that he could get loose from Vic’s ropes?  Actually Andy had felt kind of excited when Vic told him to take his shirt off and then held Andy close while he tied the young freshman’s wrists together behind his back.
            “How’s that?  Is that too tight?” Vic had asked him like a friendly big brother.
            Andy sighed heavily through his nose while he remembered how he had smiled up at Vic and told the older guy that he could make those ropes even tighter if he wanted.  Andy could take it.
            “All right, now I'm going to do your feet.”
            Andy closed his eyes and ran his tongue over the soggy cloth that was filling up his mouth as he remembered how supportive Vic had been while he helped Andy to sit down on the floor and then took off his shoes and socks before he began wrapping his rope kind of snugly around Andy’s bare ankles.
            “There, that should take care of your feet for awhile,” Vic had said.
            Andy smiled back at Vic and began testing his wrists and ankles against the snugly bound ropes.  Yea, he was pretty sure that he could get out of those without any trouble.  But then he saw Vic coming at him with some more rope.
            “Uh, Vic…? I think you've tied me up enough for now.  You want to see how I can get out of these?”
            “No, I don't want you to do anything until I tell you to do it!” Vic said gruffly.
            That surprised Andy.  Vic wasn't smiling any more and now his face didn't look the least bit friendly.  Then Andy was kind of shocked when Vic grabbed him up in his strong hands and pulled Andy up off of the floor so that Andy had to lean against Vic’s muscular body or topple over on his tied feet.
            “Uh, listen Vic; I don't want to do this any more.  I think I'd better go,” Andy had said hopefully.
            But Vic’s face looked even meaner as he drew a loose bandanna out of his pocket and ran it through his fingers.  “No I think you'd better shut up until I tell you can talk again!”
            Shock and confusion numbed Andy’s body while Vic held him in a close hug.  All of a sudden Andy felt Vic’s body pressing against him, and then Vic’s fingers were on Andy’s lips.  The next thing Andy knew his lips were being spread apart and his mouth was filling up with lots of soft cloth.  After that everything was kind of a blur while Andy felt his unresisting body in Vic’s strong hands and the bite of the rope coils as they hugged his chest tighter and tighter.
            The next thing Andy knew he was sitting down on the floor and looking up at Vic while those ropes were hugging and squeezing his body in all kinds of strange ways and he could feel the bandanna gag swelling up inside his mouth.
            “Okay Andy, here is the deal,” Vic told him gruffly.  “I'm going to leave you alone for a little while.  If you can get out of those ropes by the time I get back, I'll give you a ride back to your dorm.”
            Then Vic went out and closed the door.
            For several long moments Andy was too hurt and confused to do anything.  But then he realized that soon Vic would be coming back.  What would he do to Andy if Andy couldn't get free from these ropes somehow?  Then panic set in and Andy became a wild boy – twisting and clawing and pulling with all of his muscles and doing everything he could think off to somehow escape – but none of those things worked.
            By then Andy was gasping and gagging and sweating and hurting all over from the biting ropes.  There had to be a way out of this!  If only he had a knife or something?  Then Andy noticed the partly open dresser drawer.  Maybe there was something inside that drawer that he could use to cut these ropes?
            Andy was already hurting all over, but he ignored the pain while he slowly maneuvered his body close to the dresser.  The drawer had a knob on it, but Andy couldn't reach it with his hands.  So then Andy did the next best thing.  He opened his mouth as wide as he could and then used the drawer knob to push the soggy bandanna back inside his mouth until Andy could finally close his teeth around the wooden knob.  Then Andy bit hard on the wood and pulled and pulled until the drawer finally slid open.
            Then Andy looked into the open drawer, but there weren't any knives or scissors or anything he could use to cut these awful ropes.  There was only a bunch of old junk.  Damn!  Now what was he going to do?
            All of a sudden there was a loud CLICK-CLACK sound and Andy looked up in surprise to see Vic standing there and pointing a pistol at Andy’s head.  Oh no!  Was that a real XXXX?  Would Vic really shoot him?  Was Vic was one of those crazies?
            “I'm very disappointed in you Andy,” Vic said very solemnly.  “You broke the rules.  Now I'm going to have to take you to the next level.”
            The next level…?  What did that mean?  Andy shook his head slowly from side to side and made gurgling begging sounds into his gag while he tried to ignore the tears of frustration that were welling up in his eyes.
            “Down on your belly, Twinkie-Treat,” Vic commanded.
            Andy sighed deeply and surrendered his body to Vic as the older guy put Andy belly down onto the hard floor.  Then Andy took a chance and peaked behind him.  Vic had put the pistol away, but now he was holding more rope in his hands and his face had a crooked smile.               “On the next level you will learn how to endure the pain,” Vic told him.
            What did that mean?  Why didn't Vic explain any of these strange things he was saying?  Andy didn't know.  He only knew that his soft bed back in the dorm seemed like it was a thousand miles away and now Andy realized that he didn't know when he would ever see that soft bed again.
            And then the pain began as Andy felt more and more ropes biting into his wrists and ankles while his legs and his body were being bent further and further backwards into a painful horseshoe.  Then Vic let go of Andy’s body and the ropes took over and all at once the weight of Andy’s tied legs were pulling back on his tied arms until it felt like Andy’s arms might be pulled right out of his shoulders.  It hurt, it really hurt, and Andy was ashamed to hear little whimpering sounds escaping from his gagged mouth.
            “I'm going to leave you alone again for awhile.  If you can show me that you can endure the pain; then I will move you up to the next level,” Vic told him.
            Andy moaned softly and shook his head weakly from side to side.  He didn't want to go to any more levels.  He wanted to go home.
            But then Vic suddenly smiled and petted Andy’s sweat-dampened hair in a real friendly way.  “Don’t worry; the next level is a lot more fun than this.  That’s where I teach you how to play with toys.”
            Then Vic went out and closed the door.
            “Toys…?  What kind of toys?” Andy wondered.  He didn't understand any of this.
