            Jason stared at the XXXX, his hands now tied behind his back.  He could not believe it.  It was supposed to be a company softball game, a game that went out of control.  Peter, Jason’s co-worker, was always competitive: on the job, with the boss, with the ladies at the job and on the field.  Peter could not stand it that Jason did better than him in everything:  promotion, salary, ladies and the field.  In fact, Peter had lost it and planned to XXXX Jason before the last game of the series.  Now it was Jason, Peter with rope, and the XXXX!
             It was going to be difficult to confine Jason, Peter had thought.  He had contemplated XXXXs, a hit to the head, but tying him up and leaving him in the basement of his home, listening to the game on a local radio station seemed most cruel.  Jason had been changing into his uniform:  yellow plants and mesh shirt when the door bell rang.  There was Peter .  “Move to the fuckin basement,” he ordered.  “What the fuck you doing, Peter?” Jason asked.  “Fixing the game for me you son of a bitch.  Cooperate or you’ll never play again!”  “What are you going to do to me?”  “I am fixing of tying you up, nice and tight!”  “Tying me up, what are you crazy?   That’s XXXX!”  Jason began to imagine himself all tied up, ropes around his body confining him.  The thought of being helpless and at the mercy of Peter was terrorizing.    “I am fucking serious.  I will do sopmethign you'll regret right here unless you move to the basement and let me tie you up!”  Jason had no hope and began to walk to the basement, his hands behind his head wondering what it would feel like to be all tied up.

              Peter knew he could not tie up Jason alone, so he devised a plan. “Ok asshole, you are going to help me tie you up.  Do as I say!”  “You must be crazy, how can I help you tie me up?”  Jason asked.  “Just do it. Take this rope, and tie it around one of your wrists jackass!  That’s right, tie it around your wrist and knot it and then turn it around the wrist five move times.”  Jason caught the rope and began to loop it around his left wrist.  “You’ll never get away with this,” Jason yelled as he tied the rope a half dozen times around his wrist.  “What a fucking stupid line jerko.  I know you are fixing the company’s books, so if you report me I will have the FBI will be all over you!” Peter retorted.  Jason had a knot in his stomach.  Could Peter have known he was embezzling?  Did he have any proof?  “Now on your belly, hands behind your back.”  Jason complied.  “Now hothead, take the other end and tie it to your other wrist.” As awkward as it was, Jason completed the task.  He could not believe he was tying his own hands behind his back, a XXXX point down on him. “I have no choice,” he thought. He took the other end of the rope and tied it to his other wrist.  “You son of a bitch.  You are making me tie myself up?”  “Not exactly.”  Peter quickly approached his tied wrists and added more rope, making them tightly fixed behind Jason’s back. Jason gasped as Peter pulled and tightly knotted the rope. “Not to bad of a job actually, but I did not want you to escape before the game is over.”  Jason began to curse and kick, but Peter, taking a strip of duct tape gagged the bound man.  “Now maybe I should have some fun with you,” Peter taunted.  “Tickle your pretty feet, gut punch your flabby abs, or kick your teeth out?”  All Jason could do was boil in anger and curse Peter through his gag.
             Peter kicked Jason over and tied rope around his knees and feet.  “You like being tied up asshole?” Jason taunted as he pulled the ropes tight and knotted them.  “MPFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.”  “Not nice to use bad words.”  He took more rope and put it around his victim’s neck, and roped him into a crunch position.  “Might as well work out a bit since you can’t make the game!  Oh, by the way, remember the FBI.”  Peter left the room and went to the field, turning on the radio for helpless Jason’s entertainment.

             “This is just fuckin great,” Jason thought.  “I am bound and gagged and that idiot has my life under his control.  What if he talks and tells the FBI?  Years in jail.”  Jason tested the ropes.  Tight.  He had tried to leave some slack, but Jason seemed to know how to bind a man.  He figured his only chance was to get his hands in front of him.  But how?  Jason became like a wild bull in ropes.  He turned and twisted and gag screamed for help.  He got the rope off his neck, but it was helpless.  Sweating like a pig, he rested and than worked on the ropes again.  All the while the game progressed, his team winning. He heard the mayor say on the radio:  “So strange that Jason missed the game.  He is not like that.  Must have got tied up at the last minute.”  “Tied up at the last minute,” Jason thought and would have spit except for his gag.   At the final inning Jason went ballistic.  Ignoring the rope’s cruelty, he XXXX with all his might and rolled his tied hands under his but and to his front.  His eyes were blinded from the sweat pouring down his face.  Soon, he got free of the ropes around his feet.  Pulling off his gag, he bit the knot around his hands and got them free. He was catching his breath and looking at the rope burn on his hands when the mayor announced the games MVP:  Peter.  “Fuck him,” Jason thought, yet knew Peter had him over a barrel for his stealing from the company.  “Well, if I cant call the police I better get my own revenge,” he figured, waiting for the moment when the time was right, rope ready and waiting.  “Maybe I can even ask my kid brother is I could practice on him how to tie somebody up.  He likes a good challenge.”  Jason gathered the rope and gave his brother a call.

The car in the driveway was gone.
The back window had been left open
The owner was no where to be seen

This was going to be so easy, thought Dan.  Dan knew that Mr. Fritzpatrick had all sorts of expensive stuff. He had seen it when he had been inside the house, getting paid for doing Fitzpatrick’s yard work.  So Dan had made sure the last time he got paid that the window was left open and unlocked just enough so that no one would notice.   All Dan had to do was sneak in and grab the stuff.

Dan snuck behind the house.  Really he didn’t even have to since everyone was used to him being there doing yard work.  Dan slid open the window, lifted himself up inside the house and...

...  felt a foul smelling rag over his mouth!  Dan fought but he was already off balance being half inside and half outside.  Soon everything went black.

Officer Pat McCarty shivered in the sudden cold. God, he really hated this job. The extra money from moonlighting was welcome, but this place gave him the creeps. Everyone in town knew the bad reputation the building held- it had been the site of a particularly gruesome murder 70 years ago. Lots of people claimed to have seen strange things, and heard odd noises late at night – the place was haunted! He couldn’t understand why anyone would want to open up an art gallery here in this old building. There were lots of nice bright spaces in the malls- but the malls weren’t good enough for the snobby rich people who bought art. He looked at some of the stuff on the walls. His 5 year-old nephew could do better work. And the price tags were obscene! Huh, maybe he should take art up in his spare time. Cripes, it was cold in here! The heating must have broken down. Unless…..Pat felt the hair on the back of his neck stand up on end as he recalled some of the stories that he had heard about this place. People swore that the temperature dropped just before scary things began happening. Pat was sweating bullets. He jumped as he heard a creaking noise behind him. Whew. There was nothing there. He gave an uneasy laugh. He was a cop, he shouldn’t be afraid of a little noise. Then the lights started flickering, and the temperature dropped even more. Now he was using every ounce of his strength straining against the ropes, hoping to break them. His uniform hat had tumbled off, and he lay on the floor, panting. OK, if he couldn’t get free of the ropes, he would just have to get out of the closet and make his way to the front window of the gallery.             In accordance with his personality Joseph began hitting on every female in sight. His luck however had shifted. He realized that he was now a small fish in a big pond. When the two men, one a tall, muscular, balding Caucasian and the other a smaller Hispanic with a feathery mustache, appeared in Cecil's garage, his first thought that he was going to be robbed. "Cool shoes, man," said the Hispanic as he entered the room. "Think they'll fit me?"

"Take 'em," said the other. "They're probably worth more than we'll get for this gig."
